A diploma will be issued to a
day student upon completion of the credit requirements
listed below. Home schoolers must be enrolled for one
year in the dual program or one semester in the day
program, and have demonstrated and verified completion
of the program requirements in order to receive a diploma.
Honor cords are awarded to seniors who have been honor
roll students for four years.
General Program: Twenty-six
(26) core credits are required, including courses from
either the Academic or Business programs.
Business Program: Twenty-six
(26) core credits are required. These must include Consumer/Business
Math and three Business courses. This program requires
Marketing as the introductory course in the 10th grade.
Academic Program (College
Prep): Twenty-eight (28) core credits are required
and must include at least two years of foreign language
and 3 or 4 science credits including chemistry, physics,
or both. College-bound students are encouraged to follow
this program.
NOTE: A high school diploma
is not mandatory for some college entrances, but a Graduation
Equivalency Diploma (GED) is recommended. Scholastic
Achievement Test (SAT) scores, a good portfolio, and
positive student interview are very important.
