To learn about the specific PBL
curriculum that MCA will be using this year please investigate
the following site, Buck Institute of Education, BIE.
http://www.bie.org/index.php/site/PBL/pbl_handbook
This website is extensive (please investigate the comprehensive
menu) and designed to give teachers and parents a close
look at the process their students will use. This PBL
program is designed especially for middle and high school
students. The great benefit to teachers is the fact
that it allow students of different learning styles
and academic ability to work successfully side by side.
MCA will be adding a Biblical
Worldview component to this proven program. We will
be following this handbook very closely. You will find
much information that will help you support your child
this year. You may be asked to mentor a student in your
area of expertise. This manual will be your guide.
